For the first INTRA-Lab Roos van Berkel is introducing her practice in an open talk<\/span>, and holding a workshop<\/span> about body and algorithmic processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roos van Berkel is a choreographer, movement analyst and lecturer based in Amsterdam. Drawing inspiration from the exact sciences, she works with patterns and behaviors and our entanglement with the human and non-human. Her teaching experience includes various dance departments at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and the faculty of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her artistic work has been shown at different festivals nationally as well as internationally. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Choreographer and researcher Roos van Berkel will introduce her work with patterns and behaviors and how she researches the entanglement of the human and non-human. Illustrated by examples of her academic and artistic work, she will engage the audience in some body-based experiences. During this workshop we will engage with the moving body and algorithmic processes such as flock algorithms and sorting algorithms. Through different body-based explorations, participants will move beyond abstract concepts and experience the interdependencies that are part of these processes.  This unique experience will highlight the relational nature of systems, showing how each action affects the collective web of interactions. This workshop invites people to experience firsthand the fluid, entangled and unpredictable nature of relationships that exist at every level of interaction, forging a deeper understanding of how we are all part of an ever-evolving, interdependent system. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
